Geranium × cantabrigiense
Cambridge cranesbill (Geranium × cantabrigiense) is a ground cover plant that reaches 25 cm × 60 cm after ten years. Light: full sun, part shade, shade. Hardy down to -29 °C. Drought tolerance: medium.
A low cranesbill that knits into a dense carpet of glossy leaves, spicily aromatic when rubbed, with pink or white flowers from late spring to midsummer. It is a dependable ground cover in sun or part shade and works well under shrubs and roses, though it flowers less in deep shade. It sets no seed and spreads by trailing stems, so it is easy to keep in bounds: just cut off whatever wanders too far.
