Lavandula angustifolia 'Hidcote'
English lavender 'Hidcote' (Lavandula angustifolia 'Hidcote') is a perennial that reaches 60 cm × 50 cm after ten years. Hardy down to -29 °C. Drought tolerance: high. Toxic to dogs and cats. Sold in local shops from about CZK 49.
'Hidcote' forms a compact mound of silvery foliage topped with fragrant, dark-purple flowers that attract bees. It works well along sunny borders, as a low hedge or in a freely draining container. Established plants need little watering, but benefit from light annual trimming without cutting into bare old wood.
